MOUNT PLEASANT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A South Haven mother and daughter graduated from Central Michigan University over Mother’s Day weekend.
Sheena Northern-Espinoza was awarded her master’s degree in human resource administration on Friday, and on Saturday her daughter Alondra Northern was awarded her bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Alondra attended courses on the campus in Mount Pleasant, while Sheena used CMU online to earn her master’s degree from home.
The younger woman said finishing their degrees together made their relationship “a lot stronger.”
