LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – No one matched all six numbers to win Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot, giving lottery players a shot at $856 million this weekend
The cash option for the jackpot is $372 million.
If a player wins Saturday’s jackpot, it would be the largest Powerball jackpot won in more than seven months and the eighth largest Powerball jackpot ever won. Saturday’s drawing will be the 42nd drawing since the jackpot was last won May 2 when two tickets purchased in Florida and Texas split a $20 million jackpot.
Since the Powerball jackpot run began May 4, Michigan Lottery players have won more than $5.4 million in prizes, including two $1 million prizes.
The Powerball jackpot was last won in Michigan January 1, 2024 by a Mid-Michigan lottery club. The club won a $842.4 million Powerball jackpot with a ticket purchased in Grand Blanc. That jackpot is the largest Powerball prize ever won in Michigan.
Retailers throughout the state are selling Powerball tickets until 9:58 p.m. Saturday.
