KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Veterans 1st, a nonprofit that supports veterans and their families, will host the first annual Women Veterans Conference at the Kalamazoo Radisson Hotel June 8-10.
The event is open to all women veterans, military-connected individuals, supporters, community organizations, employers, and the public.
Featured speakers include Lorrena Black, a veteran and founder of She Served, LLC, Suhey Fisher, a combat veteran and founder of Inner North™ and Sailor’s Manifesto, and Michelle Martin, Executive Medical Center Director, Battle Creek VAMC, Battle Creek, MI.
The keynote speaker will be former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Zaneta Adams. Professional development and leadership training focused on women veterans will include workshops covering advocacy, leadership, wellness, and community connection.
