KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Secretary of State, along with state and community partners, will hold a Road to Restoration clinic in Kalamazoo next Thursday to help eligible drivers better understand the process of regaining their driving privileges.
The Michigan Department of State says their experts will provide one-on-one consultations with attendees to check their current license status and answer questions on how they can safely return behind the wheel. Secretary of State services will be available onsite, including vision testing and the written driver’s exam.
Residents are encouraged to register ahead of time for the clinic and can find more information at mi.gov/r2r.
Participants are asked to bring payment for their driving record ($16) or to print out their driving record the day before and bring it to the clinic. If participants are eligible to have their license restored at the clinic, they will need the appropriate documents on hand, including ID, birth certificate, and proof of residency.
The clinic will be held at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 120 Roberson Street, Kalamazoo Thursday, August 13 with appointments from 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Walk-ins will be accepted from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. as space permits.
